Thank you for your interest in classes at 98th Street Potters! We are a small pottery studio on the Upper West Side offering intimate, 6-week classes in hand-building and wheel throwing. You’ll receive a follow-up email from Jill to confirm your spot and arrange payment.

Wheel Basics (6-Week Session) $500 per student
An intimate, focused class for those looking to learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing. You'll gain confidence in centering, pulling, shaping, and trimming with lots of one-on-one instruction.
Max 2 students.

Wheel Basics Date Night (2 hours) $200 per pair

Grab your partner or a friend and get your hands dirty at our cozy studio! In this fun and relaxed class, you’ll learn basic hand-building or wheel techniques while creating something special together. No experience needed — just bring your creativity and a sense of adventure. We’ll provide the clay, tools, and guidance.

Drop-in Class (1.5 hours) $100 per student

Looking to try pottery without a long-term commitment? Our drop-in class offers a fun, hands-on introduction to either wheel throwing or hand-building—your choice! Enjoy personalized instruction in a relaxed, welcoming studio as you explore clay and ceramic practice. All materials are provided. Please indicate whether you’d like to use the wheel or handbuild when you book. Space is limited; advance registration required.
